Who Is Ray Mona

HER STORY

Ray Mona (born Raven Simone Providence on November 14, 1992) is a Canadian artist, writer, filmmaker, and content producer from Toronto, Ontario.  At her core she is a geek at heart, with a passion for cinema, gaming and storytelling. As a self taught artist from a very young age, Ray has many years of experience in visual arts (digital and traditional), along with a deep and growing proficiency in VFX, 3D and 2D animation.

With over 10 years of video editing experience with software's like Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects and more recently, DaVinci Resolve-- It was Ray's love of arts and entertainment that inspired her to produce her own series on YouTube, using a culmination of these skills she'd learned along the way.

Because of her unique skillset, Ray often juggles many different hats: Animating, producing, writing and directing all of her independent projects, from her earliest video game review show, to her current breakout documentary series, known as "Tales of the Lost" (2021 - present) and mini series, "The Vault" (2023-2024). In 2024, Ray Mona was appointed as an official judge in the 2024 Crunchyroll Anime Awards.
